Compared with traditional downlights, LED downlights are more energy-saving and environmentally friendly. After all, they are electronic products, but they also require regular maintenance, because the service life of LED downlights will be extended. The following briefly introduces 4 kinds of maintenance techniques for LED downlights:
1. Try not to switch frequently when using LED downlights. Although the LED downlight lamp has about 18 times the durability of the normal fluorescent lamp, switching on and off too frequently will still affect the life of the electronic components inside the LED lamp, thereby affecting the life of the lamp.
2. During cleaning and maintenance, do not change the structure of the LED downlight or change the parts of the lamp at will. After maintenance, the lamps should be installed as they are, and there should be no missing or wrong installation of lamp parts.
3. Do not clean LED downlights with water, generally use a dry cloth soaked in water to wipe it. If you accidentally encounter water, wipe it off with a rag immediately, but don’t wipe it with a damp cloth after turning on the light.
4. Special attention should be paid to that, in addition to special LED downlight lamps, ordinary LED lamps should be avoided in humid environments, which will affect the electronic components of the LED lamp driving power supply. If the electronic components get damp, the lamp life will be shortened.
Moisture prevention is one of the key points of lighting maintenance, especially for LED downlights in toilets and bathrooms, and stove headlights in kitchens. Moisture-proof lampshades must be installed to prevent moisture intrusion, rust damage, or leakage and short circuits.
